Coaching and Photography may seem worlds apart at first glance, but they share more similarities than one might expect. What binds coaching and photography together, for me, is their inherent capacity to illuminate the human spirit. As a photographer, I empower and create a visual narrative that brings hidden details to light. As a coach, I cultivate an environment where my clients gain insights. In both roles, I facilitate a journey towards clarity, helping you to see and be seen in your most authentic form.

The journey of seeing and to be seen is the powerful connection between photography and coaching.

It's about more than just looking; it's about truly seeing. For my clients, this process can be very transformative. It provides a new perspectives on your life, helping you to recognize you strengths, acknowledge your struggles, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

In essence, whether I am helping you navigate your world as a coach or by using the power of photography, I help you to be seen in your truest, most authentic light.

As an award-winning photographer and artist, I discovered that a daily practice to align mind, body and soul are key to live an abundant life. Because of my commitment, I had my work published internationally and participated in solo and group exhibitions worldwide.

In 1992, I embarked on my career in documentary photography and photojournalism. However, it wasn't until 2010, while serving as a photo editor for Belgium's largest newspaper, that my own transformative journey began. That same year, the devastating earthquake struck Haiti, leaving an indelible mark on me. It was a pivotal moment that prompted me to leave my job as a photo editor and harness the power of photography to effect positive change.

It is through my HEROES projects, I realized: my camera, once just a tool, has become a vehicle through which I can empower people in ways I never imagined.

I travelled frequently to Nicaragua, to found the non-profit ‘Heroes’ and shine a light on those who normally remain invisible. The Heroes project was a mark of honour to all the strong and at the same time vulnerable children who give evidence of an extraordinary strength in difficult situations. Back in Belgium, I organized lectures and exhibitions in public spaces, to raise awareness on social contemporary issues and to discuss a more general thematic.

Later, I’ve lived together with families in the slums Heroes:Stories of Love, Faith and Courage’. I slept with them, ate with them, lived the life they live. They treated me as a member of their own family. Due to the lack of material, their eyes are wide open and know the real meaning of happiness. Essential things in life as trust, love, friendship, understanding keeps them alive. Via their stories, beauty and wealth received a deeper meaning, where true luxury and inner wealth appear.

Through photography, I discovered an even deeper truth – that creation goes beyond the tangible, into the realms of self-discovery and growth. By reflecting on my feelings and exploring, I gained a richer understanding of myself and the world. Documenting a home birth in Brooklyn, NY led me to document daily life of indigenous midwives in Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Honduras. It felt like my own rebirth, embracing the true essence of life.

Using my camera, I realized that while observing the outer world, the dewdrop reflects both my inner and outer worlds simultaneously. This revelation inspired me to transform my self-image, through reflection and self-care.

My journey from photographer to coach has been about more than just shifting focus—it’s about turning the lens inward. I now help clients discover their authentic selves, guiding them to see their inner beauty, strengths, and potential in vivid clarity. With a photographer’s eye for nuance and a coach’s dedication to transformation, I support clients in crafting a life that’s aligned with their true essence.

In my unique approach, I guide others toward a life rich in authenticity and fulfilment.
