In the early years of my career, I worked as a photo editor in the high-stakes, fast-paced newsroom of Belgium’s leading newspaper. On paper, it seemed like everything I had ever wanted—a prestigious role and the perfect opportunity to prove my worth. Yet, beneath the applause and security, I felt a profound emptiness. The constant grind, the focus on negative news, and the relentless deadlines began to wear me down. But what hurt most was the silent realization that I wasn’t living in line with my true self.
Standing at a crossroads, I made a pivotal choice.
I took a leap of faith and left all “security” behind.
Courage Over Comfort: A Journey into the Heart of Nicaragua
With courage as my guide, I stepped into the unknown, leaving behind the comfort of stability for the thrilling uncertainty of chasing my passion. I traveled to Nicaragua with my camera, as a tool for a different purpose—empowering street children.
Through their eyes, I saw resilience, courage, and a raw truth I had almost forgotten in myself. Those children became my heroes, reminding me that power and beauty often emerge from the most challenging circumstances. Each frame I captured was more than a photograph; it was a mirror, reflecting pieces of myself I had neglected for way too long.
My Unexpected Path to New York: A Journey of Transformation
But life, as it so often does, had other plans. When the political climate in Nicaragua shifted dramatically, I returned to the country—not as a dreamer this time, but as a journalist. For three months, I poured my heart into documenting the unfolding story. Then, just a week before I was set to return to Belgium, everything changed. I was detained and deported, along with many other journalists. In a single moment, everything I thought I had built came crashing down.
My possessions, my camera, my aspirations, my carefully laid plans—everything was stripped away.
That moment forced me to let go—not just of what I owned, but of the certainty I had clung to. It was a surrender, both painful and profound. I left Nicaragua with empty hands and a heavy heart, eventually finding my way to New York.
There, piece by piece, I began again. I started over, rebuilding not just my life, but myself.
Home Births and Ancient Wisdom: Embracing the Power of New Beginnings
In my work and travels across the globe, I have been privileged to witness life in its most tender and profound forms. From the quiet, sacred beauty of home births in a small Brooklyn apartment to the timeless wisdom of ancient cultures in distant lands.
Each experiences—the intimate and the universal, the ordinary and the extraordinary, showed me the delicate threads that connect us all.

Discovering True Freedom in Business: My Path to Authentic Entrepreneurship
I once believed that freedom and creativity had no place in the world of business. I thought that true freedom and self-expression were only achievable as an artist.
However, I found that establishing my own business gave me the freedom I needed. This freedom extended not only to the creative process but also to the collaborative aspects of my work. Through this journey, I realized that creativity doesn’t have to be confined to art alone. It can thrive wherever we dare to infuse our passion, purpose, and heart into what we create.
My journey from photographer to coach has been about more than just changing my profession; it’s about turning the lens inward to help others do the same. Conquering my fears, get to know know and believe in myself. As a former photographer, I spent years capturing people’s outer beauty, searching for those hidden nuances that made each person unique.
With a photographer’s eye for detail and a coach’s dedication to transformation, I support clients in creating lives aligned with their true essence. Together, we uncover the stories they’ve outgrown and rewrite a new narrative—one that reflects who they genuinely are and aspire to be.
In my unique approach, I guide you in breaking through what limits you, so that you can build a life and career that aligns with who you really are.
True success, I believe, isn’t defined by accolades or achievements alone. It’s found in the unwavering commitment to live authentically, in alignment with your truest self. True success blooms from, knowing yourself, believe in yourself and the courage and determination to lead a life guided by love and purpose.
